great to see this. going the think-tank route was my preference, as i blogged about back in March.

some questions...
1. who's running this thing (besides Mike, that is)?

2. why aren't contributions tax deductible? My contributions to the Heritage Foundation are.

I'm pretty sure Gov. Huckabee will get a chance to speak. The question is whether he will get the primetime speech or the keynote speech. I guessing they will give him a decent time slot and probably give the Keynote address to Gov. Bobby Jindal, the current rising star in the party. if the GOP is ...

Is there a "fair primary" movement anywhere? The current system seems criminally unfair to everyone except the people in the first couple of rounds of primaries & caucuses. A more fair scheme would be something like: - All states vote on the same day - Every election, the order of vot...

CNN with Wolfe- just now Jeffrey Toobin (sp) just said that Mike being in the race is "costing" McCain money as he has to campaign in TX that's silly from Toobin. To whatever extent McCain is spending money in TX, it is to promote himself to the voters there. That is an investment for the...

First of all, to the people here who thinks I want Edwards to be President, please re-read my comment. I said that he is by far, the best candidate ON THE DEMOCRAT SIDE THIS YEAR. That means I prefer him to Obama or Hillary, both whom I dislike a lot, so that's not saying a lot about Edwards. I don...

If McCain is the nominee, Thank God he would not pick Huck. Huck would be on a losing Ticket and hurt any future runs for the white house. I agree. Just look at John Edwards... by far, the best candidate on the Democrat side this year, but he was dismissed almost from the get-go this year. uh, bein...

This is a terrible argument. I, for one, will have no part in it. If Americans give birth outside of the US, their children are still US citizens. If not, we should clarify/change the law to make it so ASAP. The Democrats, who want to be champions of immigrants, will not want to push it either. Let...

Yes - But Huckabee would only do that when Mccain is the last man standing.

For Fred Thompson and Mitt Romney to back Mccain when most conservatives are still voting for Huckabee, it shows their true colors.

fair point (made by you and others)

I think that this will doom Romney in 2012. Those conservatives who were duped into believing Mitt was the conservatives choice against McCain are going to be furious over this endorsement. This move may have been inevitable, but the right thing for Mitt to do would have been to just release his de...

Looks like LA results are definitely close to the exit polls.

no small feat, given the regional differences. that requires precision weighting by polling location.

This is a late addition to Mike's schedule isn't it? I'm wondering if he didn't get an invite or accept until just recently?

no, Governor Huckabee was on the early agenda posted on the cpac site. I mentioned it here at Huck's Army several months ago, when the question of cpac first arose.
