Clinton defeats Dole 379-159

49%-40%

McCain did a lot better than Dole in the popular vote, but the electoral vote is pretty much the same. Also, Clinton's US map is more blue than the electoral map after Obama won. We can turn the US red again folks.

Thank goodness! The media keeps saying that once a state goes blue it doesn't come back?

There are still alot of conservative folks out there.

Mark my words....Obama will have one TOUGH GOP challenger in 2012....Obama did not do as well as I thought he would.

I"m looking for a Huckabee/Palin 2012 ticket, or a Huckabee/Brownback ticket.

Their is always 2009. The best thing about being a Cubs fan is no matter how bleak it looks you still have hope. :D

That's ridiculous. Check electoral maps for many elections back and you'll see several "traditional" states alternating their votes. The media is just trying to chalk this up as a major victory for liberalism in general.

I'm personally hoping for a Huckabee/Jindal ticket.

If you look at the battleground states that Obama won to gain the presidency, the margins were narrow -- definitely not mandate territory. The electoral votes add up, of course, but the overall spread of a few percentage points in the nationwide popular vote is not much of a mandate either, considering how favorable a year this should have been for a Democrat who outspent his opponent 2:1 and had so little media scrutiny. So...we'll see what's really more important to him -- his radical ideology or his desire to maintain popularity.

I like Watts or Steele for RNC chair.. preferably Steele. We need the face of the party in exile to be more diverse, while bringing strategies to target minority conservatives.
