Does anyone know how Greg Davis (the HuckPAC endorsed congressional candidate from Mississippi) is doing tonight?

They called the race for the democrat.. :|

This is just what the GOP needs to get them into 'by any means neccessary' mentality.. They need to let Mccain do whatever it takes to win, even if he has to move hard center and select a non traditional VP

This may stifle some of the dissent against a Huckabee VP if it's offered.

MSNBC reported that these losses are the same as a Republican winning in Brooklyn!!

November is looking scary :|

Only 27 percent of registered voters across the whole country are 'republicans'

He was a HuckPac candidate..what does this loss do for huck's coat tails?

This loss is taking a hit for Republicans but I don't think it can reflect negatively on Mike. We all know we needed the win though. Just goes to show that Mcain really cannot afford to take any Republican who is currently holding an office out to run for vp. We can't afford to lose any more Republicans who hold an office. That narrows the list further.

Quote:
Republican winning in Brooklyn

In the part of Brooklyn where we live, our State Senator and Congressman are Republicans. Alas, the Congressman is Vito Fossella.... One of the biggest problems for Republicans in the last few years has been the scandalous behavior of so many, which had nothing to do with left or right politically, but everything to do with wrong or right morally. Power is an equal opportunity corruptor, whether among Ds or Rs, which is why we need truly God-fearing people in office. "But select capable men from all the people -- men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain -- and appoint them as officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens." (Exodus 18:21)

The losses of the three "safe" GOP congressional seats -- two in Louisiana and Mississippi -- will create a stampede to the door of a certain home in North Little Rock, with all of the former naysayers begging Governor Huckabee to accept the VP spot so as to hold the South for the ticket. Whether they like it or not, everybody knows he is by far the strongest Southern choice, and all other speculations are irrelevant at this point. Romney's money has become even more meaningless than it was before, and all of the other names being floated are unproven, low single-digit types, except for Condi who would lend credence to Obama's charges of a third Bush term for McCain.
