Here's a thread to follow the returns and post any turnout info you may want.

I stood in line for the first time at my polling station here in Arkansas. There are no statewide races or local races driving folks to the polls here. Everyone knows that Romney will WIN Arkansas.

But it seems EVERYONE want to have their say. Romney will win Arkansas (or Obama lose it if youlike) by 25% or more.

It's also looking like Obama is going to have a very difficult night accross the country.

EDITED: Ive already been up too long. :roll:

I'm following a variety of sources right now for turnout info, including: battlegroundwatch.com, breitbart.com, and on Twitter, @adrian_gray and @karlrove.

Tweets from Adrian Gray:
Quote:
Johnson county, Iowa is most Dem county in the state. Their county commissioner of elections said "lowest voting in 32 years" this morning.

Quote:
Pasco county, FL: GOP turnout as of 4pm is 68%. Dem turnout is 61%.

Quote:
VIRGINIA: 46k absentee ballots issued, but not returned. 41% of those were from age 18-25 voters (they went 63-34 for Obama in 2008).

Quote:
COLORADO: 3/4 of state voted pre-election day. GOP up in my three bellwether counties: Arapahoe (+0.1%), Jefferson (+2.8%) & Larimer (+5.7%)

Quote:
OHIO: In counties Obama won by 55%+ in 2008, early vote is down 3.6%. In McCain 55%+ counties, early votes up 23.9%.

Updates from Breitbart.com:

Ohio Turnout Up in Red Counties, Down in Blue:

This confused me when I first looked at the two statements. I assume the first is a mistake and should say "Obama will lose Arkansas" because all I've seen is AR for Romney and would have expected that all along.

Well, your favourite Swede is here now! :)

So my prediction is Romney victory, 278-260. Think popular vote will be close, like 49.9-49.0 for Romney.

Hope you all voted. I know no-one here is really enthusiastic about Romney (I'm not either), but he is the better option for sure.

I've been pretty peaceful leading up to today, but now as the polls are starting to close, the nerves are kicking in! Praying hard for our country!

Virginia Exit internals are as squirley as everything else we've seen the election. If Mitt is winning Independents by double digits then VA should be easily his.

I can't believe how nervous I am about Virginia! :shock:

Some Twitter updates on Virginia...

@charliespiering:
CNN Exit polls for Virginia show 49/49

More Virginia exit polls for Catholics: 56% for Romney - 42% Obama

Virginia was a D+6 electorate in 2008, and McCain lost Indys by 1. This time, exits suggest D+4, and Romney's winning Indys by 12.

@adrian_gray:
VIrginia closes soon. Counties I am watching are Henrico, Loudoun and Montgomery. Obama won by 12, 8 and 5. Bush won by 8, 12, and 9.

I am feeling cautiously optimistic. Exit polls always favor democrats. and their leads and not huge - even Pennsylvania is close.

Right now the vibe is Obama wins. The Florida vote is much closer than I thought it would be. Romney can still win it but Obama got his vote in the I-4 corridor.

Ugh. I must admit that CNN's results are closer than I had expected. Depressing. My kids say they want to say family prayers early tonight so that if mom has one of her post-election funks they can avoid me. :oops:

QVA, are your kids democrats or what? :P If I had kids and they had that kind of defeatist attitudes, I'd ground them :P
