Opinions?

I think all three were strong, though I think Fiorina come across as condescending. Santorum comes across somewhat angry, but I suppose that is a reflection of the American electorate. I think Gov. Huckabee was also strong, but he seemed more even tempered, not antagonistic. Trying to be objective. What do you think?

What a fiasco this "prime time" debate is becoming!

I didn't catch the undercard debate. I've watched some of the main debate. Trump is actually making more sense in this debate than many of the others. They're hitting on some topics that he's strong with, and it's helping him.

Cruz is still coming across as stiff.

Rubio seems weak.

Christie is coming across strong, but as far as I'm concerned he's one of the worst candidates.

Summing up my thoughts on the prime debate:

Trump won (first time I actually thought he won a debate)

Christie was Strong

Bush had one of his better debates, but way too little and way too late to help him

Cruz did well if you are able to get past his stiff and scripted replies (which I can't)

Rubio has good answers, but there's something about him that I just don't find believable.

Kasich didn't really help himself

Carson will continue to fade

Since our Kansas Team Huck was sponsoring a table at the 4th Annual Tenth Amendment Dinner in Topeka, KS, last night, I did not get to see this debate. But we prayed for Gov. Huckabee to do well.

Thankfully, the transcript here helps us read what was said. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/01/14/transcript-fox-business-undercard-republican-debate/?wprss=rss_the-fix&tid=sm_tw_pp

The three candidates on stage--Gov. Huckabee, Sen. Santorum and Carly Fiorina--each answered five questions and got about the same amount of time to answer. Sen. Rand Paul chose to sit this debate out to protest polls as criteria for who could be on the main debate stage. Seems like he just did not want to be on the undercard stage.

The questions that seemed to get the most positive response for Huckabee were on the Fair Tax and on Huckabee's strong stance against abortion.

Huckabee concluded: "At the end of every political speech, most of us say, 'God bless America.' But how can God bless America when we continue to slaughter 4,000 babies a day?"

I'm really leaning towards Huck not attending this next debate on Fox. I think he could get more publicity by publically denouncing the arbitrary formula for deciding who gets to be in which debate than he will standing there next to Jim Gilmore. Not attending the last undercard debate seems to have helped Rand Paul a bit.

Hey, it's earned media time. If he cant be on the main stage, he might as well go where some cameras are.
