I just wanted to update everyone on the actions of the Iowa Brigade in relation to the Iowa primary that was held on June 3 (this last Tuesday). As many of you know I am a member of the Iowa Brigade. We were looking for three main characteristics in our candidates. We wanted a candidate that knows the value of life; this is most often described as being from conception to natural death. It is this iteration of the concept that we identify with; and the one in which we looked for in a candidate. Another characteristic that we looked for was someone that would avidly promote and defense of traditional family values. This covers a broad range of topics such as defense of marriage (the defining of marriage as being between one man and one woman), the rejection of all homosexual propaganda that is disseminated through our government. The third characteristic that we look for is a strong commitment to improving our education system through the rejection of the current indoctrination style system and reimplementing a system that teaches knowledge that is relevant to educating children. This includes rejecting all references to homosexuality, as well as other items that we feel should be taught at home or in one's church.
In analyzing candidates if they did not share our convictions on these matters the candidate did not get our support. Out of all the primary races that we focused on, we lost just one. And that was a close race that may have been lost by a late revelation against our chosen candidate. I hope that others see what we have done here in Iowa and attempts to implement something similar in their state. To see some of the actions that we took during the primaries please visit The Iowa Defense Alliance at the link below. And if you have any questions please ask.

Thanks Brian,
This is part of the reason that I have not been on much recently. Been working on things in the lead up to the primaries. We are making a difference here. It is small at first, but I do believe that it will snowball as time passes. I just hope some people in other states pick up on this idea and implement it in their state. I feel that this is the best way for us to make a real measurable difference in the party in the next few years.

Sounds like we could each take notes from the example of the Iowa Brigade - isn't this what Mike has asked each of us to do in his encouragement to "be the somebody" and "do the something"? We can each make a small difference in our states that could make great changes nation-wide. Thanks, Al Bregar and the rest of the Iowa Brigade!

I am also a proud member of the Iowa Brigade. Thank you for giving the update, Al. The primaries were a great success for us, and also very promising. It shows that a lot of Republicans in Iowa share our same vision--to bad it's not the Republicans currently occupying the legislature. That is what we are trying to change. Out with the old and in with the new! I also encourage others to get involved with their state's politics. It is where we can make the most difference right now. I am also thinking about the future when Mike will need us again, we will be ready and the army will be even bigger.........
