As you know, we are just coming off of a charismatic Huckabee/Vander Plaats for Iowa Governor event yesterday. Mike vowed to do anything to make sure Bob Vander Plaats is our next governor. A win for Bob VP is a step towards 2012 for Huck.

Today, the top Republican site in our state is conducting a poll along with Steve Deace of WHO radio on who should be the Republican gubernatorial candidate in 2010. They are doing it in such a way that it cannot be rigged.

This is a little bit of a pain to do, but if you would like to help us out here is what you need to do. Between noon and 6 p.m. CST today you can cast your vote by sending a text. Go to this link for directions:

http://theiowarepublican.com/home/2009/06/11/vote-now-in-the-gubernatorial-straw-poll/

The other way to vote during this time frame (and probably easier) is to email stevedeace@whoradio.com and submit your vote. Be sure to include your name so they know it is legit and you are not voting more than once.

Thank you!

Can only Iowans vote? His election will have consequences on other state races and on Mike's presidential run.

I would encourage all to vote. It never says it restricts it to Iowans, although I wouldn't volunteer the information if you are not from the state.

My husband and I both voted for Bob Vander Platts in this poll. I have had great respect for Bob from the time I met him during the presidential primaries. Bob Vander Platts is a Huckabee Republican.
