Josh Allum is running on the Constitution Party ticket for Missouri State Representative in District 10. He has lived in Pike County for twenty-one of his twenty-four years. He has a strong sense of what the Founders believed when they wrote the Constitution. Understanding “if you do not know history, you are doomed to repeat it”, Josh recognizes that everyone must become a student of history in order to avoid the pitfalls of the future. He believes “it’s time for We The People to take back our Government”. His stance is LIFE, LIBERTY AND LIMITED GOVERNMENT. Josh will take his youth and energy to Jefferson City, standing on six main principles, but will look at every issue through the eyes of the Constitution.

Josh appreciates the importance of our first right mentioned in the Declaration of Independence, the right to Life. He is 100% pro-life. In his opinion, it is the most important and most sacred right we have and “to belittle this right is the most inhumane and heartless thing you can do”.

Josh will also stand firm in upholding the Second Amendment (Right to Bear Arms), and will do everything in his power to make sure that freedom is not “infringed” on by the federal government. He supports the Firearms Freedom Act and will attempt to include the clause that no firearm or ammunition is taxable in the State of Missouri.

Josh is a strong states’ rights advocate and believes that “the powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people”. He will fight to secure the sovereignty of Missouri and sees it as his duty as a statesman to reject federal laws imposed on the states unconstitutionally.

Josh is very aware of the overspending of the federal government and the states and empathizes with Americans saying, “It is the people’s money and government should spend it wisely”. He will examine all expenses to discover avenues to reduce spending, while cutting taxes. He is earnest in stopping the double penalty burden placed on Missourians and will lobby to eliminate the property tax.

Josh believes it is the right of every parent to decide where and how their children are educated. From homeschooling, private education facilities and public schools, he acknowledges it is not the responsibility of the federal government to oversee the education of its citizens. The Constitution grants them no authority, and therefore the power is delegated to the States.

Josh is a proponent of immigration. Immigrants helped to make this country what it is today. But illegal immigration is just that, illegal.

Josh Allum comes from a good Christian home and appreciates the concept of working for what you have. His father is the pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church in Bowling Green and a nurse. His mother is a teacher at Pike County Christian School. Josh bases his beliefs for this country on his faith in Jesus Christ. For a young man, he has a solid understanding of the problems facing Americans, but more specifically Missourians, in this time in our country. He has become not only a student of history, but a student of life and stands ready to take his place as a servant for Missourians in order to secure a more hopeful future.
