Very good response. Gary does an excellent job of refocusing the issue to the heart of the matter; Huckabee is the best qualified to be president of the United States of America, while Obama in upbringing, education, and ideology is much better suited to be the leader of a socialist party in Europe.

Some of us Americans still want an American America and some of us still embrace our Christian heritage. For instance, when we quote the most significant lines of our most significant founding document, we are careful to include its most significant phrase, "... and endowed by their Creator...," while Obama has been especially and notably careful to exclude that particular phrase. (It should be noted that Obama's exclusion of this important phrase was not an accident or simple mistake as is the case with Huckabee and Kenya; I either read, or heard him make it on at least three separate occasions). The exclusion of the God who authored the Bible which is the Creator referenced in the Declaration of Independence is integral to President Obama's worldview. President Obama has his beliefs, but they are not only mistaken, but evil. World views such as his always lead to tyranny and misery.

I think that Bill O'Reilly finally did something to help Mike! He allowed Mike to apologize to one of the largest audiences on television. Mike was humble when he said "I misspoke" and referred to his own book as validation that he really knows the facts. He also explained about having perhaps too many interviews within a two day period. I thought Bill was friendly & understanding to Mike, much more than I expected. The liberals have been quick to crucify Mike but I do not think too many conservatives will let this goof remove their support.

I received a forwarded humorous email yesterday showing how many things we use each day that are made in foreign countries. It closed with "even our President is from Kenya" so this is a frequent misconception.

At the Wichita book signing, a tall, rather intimidating man rode up on a motorcycle, pulled of his helmet and asked if this was the protest against Huckabee. Why? we volunteers out front asked. He answered, "Haven't you heard--it's all over the news that Huckabee is saying Obama is from Kenya." We assured him that we were not protesting Huckabee but were for him! Jim, a Kansas director said, "Well, just read the first page of Huckabee's book."

Just a little angry confrontation, but soon the man left, after realizing he was the only protester at the book store! :P

That's funny JG. It struck me that liberals today are kind of lazy. Flame wars on the internet - yes. Using their TV channels to portray conservatives in a bad light - yes. Actually protesting, rallying and stuff - not so much.

I mean, the hippies back in the days at least did something. They didn't have internet back then so they had to go out, occupy buildings and stuff. Not good things by any means, but still, they really did something actively. I somehow find it easier to respect the liberals back then than the ones today. Do you know what I mean?

Really, the good-natured atmosphere of Huckabee events makes it hard for them to get much of the back and forth shouting matches going. Our men just met this protester with some humor and a few facts. Listened but didn't respond in kind. Huckabee is the master teacher at showing us how to use humor and respect, in return heaping coals of kindness on their head. It helped to have a few police cars parked out front and security guards at the door and standing beside Huckabee in his greeting line.

It's a good thing we do not have quite the level of meanness and destructiveness that protesters had back in the late 1960's. (Ironic, how some of the "Make love, not war" youth were so warring and unloving!) We forget. But the language on the internet almost makes up for it.
