Is it possible to go in and update a thread's name?
Like the VP poll that has different rounds--
one says "Round Three today"
but when Round 4 and Final Rounds are current, we want to alert people to that instead of Round 3--the name is outdated as the poll advances.

Go to the first post on the thread and click on the Edit button (bottom right). Go to the title line and edit it.

When I went to the first post in the thread and edited the topic, it only edited that post, not the whole thread.

That should fix it from how it is named in the list of topics and when someone else posts on that thread going forward it should use the new title. What thread did you edit?

Third Round Starts Today: VP Madness

I went to the last post by DelLeslie and edited the Title to ROUND 4 Ends Today: VP MADNESS
It appears to only have changed the title for that one post, not the whole thread.

Right, you need to change the very first post on the thread, not the last one.

I realized what I did, Ken. I only went to the bottom of page 1 to find the "first" post, and didn't go back far enough.
Duh.
Am I being too much trouble?

Not at all. This is easy stuff and I never mind trying to help out. The more you do things the less you will need to ask, but never worry about asking questions or asking for help.
