This is really not a forum moderation issue, but I just saw this out there and wanted y'all to be aware of it.

The Arkansas times posted the video of Janet Huckabee talking with the state trooper after her accident. You can see and hear the whole conversation.

Is this really allowed to be public? I thought that would be private police information?

Anyway, here is the link to the video:

This is what it says with the video;

Janet Huckabee argues with state trooper John Blackmon after being issued a ticket following a Sept. 20, 2010 accident in Little Rock.

Jason Tolbert just tweeted this:

RT @tolbertreport: New Post: Video: Janet Huckabee Unleashed http://tolbertreport.com/2011/01/23/vid ... unleashed/

I still don't really understand what Jason's purpose is with this sort of thing :?

Huffpost now has this: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/01/2 ... 12959.html

I guess Jason provided a transcript.

I really don't think this is going to get much traction. It may get some attention for a while, but I'm guessing most people will have the reaction I did - yawn. I had the impression by the post title (on the Tolbert Report) that Janet went off but she came across as simply pleading her case (whether she was at fault I have no clue), not flipping out.

Same here. I watched a couple minutes then kind of skipped through, and I didn't see anything worthy of attention.

The Blaze - Glenn Beck's website tweeted it tonight...I think that's weird.

The video is now posted on the top of breitbart.com. "Caught on Tape: Janet Huckabee Argues Ticket With Arkansas Trooper"

I don't go to the blaze but I did and here is Janet Huckabee's attorney response:

Quote:
Huckabee’s attorney, Kevin Crass, has released the following statement regarding the case:

You should be aware that we made no admissions at the hearing. In fact, the prosecutor admitted that the witness would be unable to testify that Mrs. Huckabee was on the phone. She had to because the phone records showed the only activity on the phone that morning was the 911 call after the wreck. If you were falsely accused of an act, as she was, I suspect you would react defensively as well. By the way, the $100 fee was not a fine. We continue to contest the facts and the ticket but sometimes you are better off taking what the state offers.

So I suggest that we copy and paste that response and add it to all articles out there on the net.

Obviously all Janet Huckabee was trying to do was tell the officer that she was not on the phone, and the phone records indicate that Janet was right, and the passenger of the other car was incorrect.
