I figured we watch users for potential issues, we should be able to keep an eye on any discussion that looks like it could get out of hand. Here's my first contribution:

Heislord posted a nasty post and undecidedamerican was responding to it.

I deleted Heislord's post but forgot to deleted undecided's post.. Undecidedamerican is an alright guy, asking the right questions, he could come over to our club soon.

Cool. I don't mind a little heated discussion, but we never want it to get nasty. "I think we're a better country than that."

Thanks for responding to this...i was a little upset over it last night, so I decided to sleep on it before posting this morning.

I know we're not all going to agree, but I feel like a little respect and compassion is a good thing.

Okay, this same topic thread: http://forum.hucksarmy.com/viewtopic.ph ... &sk=t&sd=a
Let's keep a watch on it. I'm not going to post anymore on it publicly, as I've had my say and I will not argue. I don't mind discussion, but I can't tolerate ugliness.
Also, could someone respond to UndecidedAmerican, as I'm not sure what happened to her post.

Can we move this topic somewhere other than the news section? It might be a good discussion but it is distracting the already crowded news area:

Exactly my thoughts ;)

To be honest though I don't understand why Gov. Huckabee keeps using his populist talking points when he can easily talk about what he will do about it.. I hope Ed Rollins would make a difference.

F.Y.I. - I sent this user a PM a moment ago about one of her posts.

Subject: GLENN BECK SHOW: Glenn meets with Gov Huckabee

Quote:
regina wrote:
Personally, I've always liked Glenn since he was here in St. Pete. But I think that, if he isn't careful, this could be his downfall. He is starting to loose it and the mormon is coming out in him. People will begin to realize the hidden things of mormonism.

Quote:
Regina,

Hey - I am glad you are apart of Hucksarmy. I would like for you to modify your post a bit or delete it. Although most people would agree about morminism, the purpose of this board is not to set an ant-mormon tone. We can if it is appropriate discuss the differences in religion which we have, but it has to be on a specific level.

Thanks- Hope you understand.

Tommy,
You don't know what ant-mormon means?

Should I try to answer this?

I guess I will.

It means that rather than stating factual specifics about morminism or giving specific contrasting views between religions, we lower the conversation to the point were it does no good. Such as
Quote:
"Young people are dumb"
would be an "anti-young people tone".

Quote:
But if I say, statistically most young people are not engaged in politics and don't do well with their money as much as older people.
That would be a factually specific statement. It would be even better if I could site a reference to it.

But I have a feeling I wasted 8 minutes typing this out because you were joking ..Tommy

Oops - I sure did waste the last 8 minutes because you were referencing the fact that I wrote "ant-mormon" rather than anti-mormon.

Very nice Shawn
