Here is how to capture, edit, save, and attach an image on your monitor’s screen.
1. Make sure the image is completely on the computer screen and is not obscured.
2. Press the “Print Screen” button sometimes abbreviated “Prnt Scrn” which will capture whatever is showing on your screen.
3. Open up the program “Paint”. (Click Start, Accessories, Paint)
4. Paste the Screen Capture into the program by clicking either “Paste” or Control + V
5. Click the square dotted line Selection tool, and make a box around the area you wish to edit.
6. Once the desired area is highlighted, right click on the mouse and select “Cut”.
7. Repeat Step 3 to open a blank sheet.
8. On the new sheet, click “Paste” or Control + V.
9. If the original image did not fit on one capture, go back to the image so that the rest of the image is now on the screen and repeat the previous steps, minus step 7.
10. To save the edited image, Go to File, then Save. Save the file as an image (.jpg, .jpeg, .png).
11. To attach the file, see
the Attachment Tutorial.
