In any which case, reporting tonights results will be daunting due to the sheer number of races going on. I will be taking requests on who I should cover tonight in addition to reporting the balance of power in congress.

That is of course if you let me. I would like some help though...

I will be focusing on FL and SC.

I'm definitely doing Missouri. That's my home state.

Taking a break from law school for the night to join my friends at HANN. Looking forward to Day 1 of the 2012 campaign season, which starts tomorrow regardless of whether anyone will admit it yet (though, Romney has been running since the second he stood uncomfortably on stage beside John McCain after dropping out and throwing his support to McCain in 2008).

Voted for Hurt here in Charlottesville, Virginia, this afternoon. Charlottesville is pretty much in the heart of liberal la-la-land with UVA being here, and turnout was pretty light at my precinct...no lines whatsoever. I'm hoping we'll see a big loss for Perriello tonight, but that won't be a shocker. He's one of the few Dems who hasn't run from his support for Obama's agenda.

Can anyone post a list of all the Huck Pac endorsed candidates we should be watching tonight?

I'd suggest the mods set up more than one thread on the night:

Ideas?

House Races

Senate Races

2012 Implications Spin Room

I'm not sure how many races are taking place today - maybe we could focus mainly on the pivotal/key races within those categories? Would we be able to agree on which those are? I'm thinking Democrat seats that flip Republican & incumbents that lose (as well as the HuckPAC candidates, of course)

P.S. My firstborn son voted for the first time today! I was so proud! (Too bad his first vote had to go to Rick Perry :P ) He is so looking forward to being able to vote for GH in 2012!!!

Just got home from voting for Nathan Deal, Johnny Isakson, and Mike Crane for congress. Had about a 30min wait with many people getting out of work and going to the poll. The precinct worker reporter steady moderate turn out at that location.

My realistic prediction: (R)'s pickup 59 seats in the House, (D)'s hold barely hold Senate with 51/49 split.

My hope: BLOODBATH! 70+ seat pickup in the House, take the Senate + retire Harry Reid!! :pray

From Politico:
Quote:
ONE FOR THE GOP: In Guam, Republican Sen. Eddie Calvo has been declared the winner of the race for governor, the AP reports. His Democratic rival, Carl Gutierrez, says he’s not conceding just yet.

Search youtube for The White Stripes cover of 'Jolene'. or Simple Kid - 'Lil' King Kong'. Or an unreleased gem from Wings - 'Night Out'

Jackie Walorski is great. I have talked with her via phone and she really cares about the people and doing the right thing. Not your typical politician. I hope she wins in IN.

Marco Rubio is absolutely dominating. He could clear 50%.
