Taking a break from law school for the night to join my friends at HANN. Looking forward to Day 1 of the 2012 campaign season, which starts tomorrow regardless of whether anyone will admit it yet (though, Romney has been running since the second he stood uncomfortably on stage beside John McCain after dropping out and throwing his support to McCain in 2008).

Voted for Hurt here in Charlottesville, Virginia, this afternoon. Charlottesville is pretty much in the heart of liberal la-la-land with UVA being here, and turnout was pretty light at my precinct...no lines whatsoever. I'm hoping we'll see a big loss for Perriello tonight, but that won't be a shocker. He's one of the few Dems who hasn't run from his support for Obama's agenda.

Yay! So glad you're joining us tonight!

Looks like it was a blowout!

Fox has just called several races. Called Delaware for Coons. Don't know the numbers yet.

What music are you listening to? :)

I'm not sure what to listen to myself, anyone know something good? :)

Well, my daughter has become a real bluegrass lover, and now we all like it :). So, we're listening to Lou Reid & Carolina. They stream (whole songs!) on their website:
http://www.loureidandcarolina.com/fr_home.cfm. Look for the music controls attached to the bottom of the screen. Lots of good gospel.

Anyone think of any good patriotic music for tonight's pleasure?
I'm hankering for some John Philip Sousa!

Yahoo for Rubio! I think this will be a message to the Republican "leadership," as much as to the Democrats.

God is so good.

Yes! And he was a Huckabee supporter in 2008. I was just listening to Fox talk about him being a rising star. Sure hope he plans on supporting Mike in 2012. His endorsement will be huge!

So happy about Rubio! That's fantastic. Mike Huckabee was out in front on that one - and he was right.

Looks like we'll be taking 60-70 seats in the House (things are looking good), but we'll still come up a few seats short in the Senate (barring victories in WV, WA, and CA).

As much as the success of the Tea Party is going to be largely responsible for how well Republicans will do in the House tonight, the Tea Party candidates in a couple of Senate races may cost us a majority in the Senate (i.e. O'Donnell in Delaware).

Personally, I think the pros of the Tea Party far outweigh the cons, but the silver lining of a couple big Tea Party losses in the Senate may be that people will have more reasons to question a Palin candidacy in 2012.

Huge upset brewing in NC-4. Lawson and Price are tied with 50% reporting. Heavy democrat district.

Rep. Boucher defeated in Virginia. GOP pickup in what RCP rated a tossup district.

I believe Sarah Huckabee is Boozman's campaign manager.
