Today's the day! Iowa people, who did you wind up supporting? I'm still undecided (probably voting for either Santorum or Newt, will decide later) but I sure would love to see Santorum upset Romney today.

I posted a similar prediction on my Facebook page a couple days ago. Eerily similar, in fact. I just have Newt and Perry in a different order. Here's what I'm predicting:

Santorum - 26
Romney - 24
Paul - 18
Newt - 14
Perry - 12
Bachmann - 4
Huntsman - 1

This could be wishful thinking given that I'm supporting Santorum, but I still think it's a very likely outcome. I'm prepared to have my heart broken a la Huck in South Carolina last time around (though that was a much bigger heartbreak for me than this could possibly be), but I'm still pretty enthusiastic about what's going to go down tonight!

I feel kind of bad for Bachmann. She's looking kind of desperate and tired on TV.

If HA is any indicator, then Newt will do better than he's been polling.

But I also think Santorum will pull off a win: I. He has plenty of caucus captains, II. I can see Bachmann and Perry supporters moving to Santorum's side when they see his support so as to avoid a Romney/Paul win, III. He's statistically tied with Romney and Paul as things are; if his rate of increase in the polls is extrapolated out to today, then he's first in the polls.

Anyone wanna bet me ten thousand bucks? ;)

I think the reason for the disparity between Newt's support here and how he's been doing in the polls in Iowa probably has something to do with the fact that we haven't been hit with 4 million dollars in negative ads against Gingrich here at HucksArmy. I don't want to reignite the debate over the merits of those ads, but I think it does help to explain the difference.

I beg to differ. I think the HA Santorum supporters have gotten their 4 million dollars worth in here. :D

You have to remember, we at HA are far more educated on the candidates than the average Iowan. The average Iowan has listened to day after day of half truths and false history on most all of the candidates.

Santorum is getting hit pretty hard (nothing like Newt did for a month, but still it is funny to see how they have switched gears and started to blast him after ignoring him for so long) in the last few days since it has become evident that he is in the top three, courtesy of Perry and Paul and some anonymous fake Iowa Christian Leaders hit group who previously targeted Newt. Article here http://theiowarepublican.com/2012/dirty-tactics-return-with-new-target/?mid=56

I still think Santorum is going to do super today. Good for him. I wish him the best. He's always been my 2nd choice. Hopefully, Newt will do better than expected, also. It is a bright, sunny day here in Iowa. Cold, but not too cold. Should be a good turnout. Anxious for the fun to begin. Am heading over around 5 to help set up and get ready to work.

Peace and good luck to all the Iowa Caucus voters here on HA.

Since I do not have a dog in the fight, this is who I will be cheering for tonight:

It will keep me occupied until the final results come in.

Awesome pic! It would be better if the seats were black, though. :D

My caucus site 4 years ago did not look this comfy and cheerful! I can dream it will this time around. Thanks for the smile your picture caused. I needed it!

I was cheering for the Hawkeyes the other day as my hubby is a Hawkeye alum.

Hard to believe that only Michigan State has won a bowl game for the big 10 so far this college bowl season. I am hoping that Michigan wins as well.

But as I said, praying for peace for all the Iowa voters tonight. Good Luck!

Good luck to my Iowan Huck's Army buddies tonight. Hopefully, some of you will be able to send some updates from the field. I doubt this site will be hopping anything like it was four years ago.

Leaving soon to assist at my caucus site. Will be the somebody but it sure is not like 4 years ago. Taking my thick skin with me as I think it will be tense. Perhaps I will be wrong. Story County has been preparing for this night for a long time now so will see if the preparations pay off.

Thanks for the kind and good wishes.

Based on entrance polls and the number of precinct captains, I think Paul might walk away with it.

Pretty much the top 3 are Santorum, Paul, and Romney. They are neck and neck and just keep trading places.
