And the winner is...Mike Huckabee! :D (Okay just kidding but I wish!)

Jumping the gun early and starting the thread if anyone of you already have information...

The polling places opened at 7:00AM and close at 7:00PM ET

So as the day goes on, post'em if you got'em!

Exit poll tweets

cbsjancrawford Jan Crawford
Exit polls: 53% said they made their decision in the last few days. Like the 2/3s who said debates mattered, not good news for Romney.

cbsjancrawford Jan Crawford
Exit polls: Debates mattered. 64% of SC primary voters said they were important factor in their decision; 34% say they were not

Ron Paul: Jillian’s, Columbia, S.C.

Rick Santorum: The Citadel, Charleston, S.C.

I've been in Rock Hill today and it looks like the turnout is higher than expected. Not sure who that favors but the turnout is especially high for the weather conditions. My guess is that Ron Paul was hoping more folks would stay home so the Paulbots could drown out the other votes. Paulbots are still up to dirty tricks; some were arrested today in Ft Mill for destroying Santorum's signs. When will these folks realize how poorly it reflects upon their candidate when they do this stuff?

Eagerly awaiting the results. What is kind of depressing is when Fox News and others are showing the map of SC from 2008. Huckabee was so close to taking home the victory in SC. I and others worked our tails off volunteering, and to come so close and end up being defeated hurt then, and it hurts being reminded today. I still think Thompson was the biggest reason Huckabee didn't win.

If only Mike had been able to win SC, I truly think he would have won the nomination in 2008. I don't know if anybody could have bested Obama in 2008 to be honest, but I know Mike would have given us the best chance. Anyway, enough thinking about the what ifs and could have beens.

I hope that Romney is stopped, and as split as Hucks's Army is when it comes to your preference of Newt/Santorum, I hope that whoever wins the nomination can save us from another 4 years of Obama.

I heard the same and they didn't even have the numbers out yet. Also saw CNN quickly got the word out there and said they will wait for the numbers and not project anything yet.

What are SC absentee voting laws like? anyone? Maybe they're bitterenders, maybe early voters.

Though Cain would have to be reeeeaaaallll early.
