First PPP Poll from Missouri

Gingrich: 30%
Santorum: 28%
Romney: 24%
Paul: 11%

Gingrich won't be on the ballot in Missouri. Looks like Santorum has a good chance to win Missouri. Minnesota and Colorado also vote on the same day. The Minnesota poll we have shows Gingrich with a commanding lead. We have no polls from Colorado yet.

When Gingrich is excluded, the numbers are:
Santorum: 45%
Romney: 34%
Paul: 13%

Gingrich is doing polling in CO. I just participated in one. I doubt the results will be released to the public though.

Why is it that every election has one moderate running against a group of conservatives? The conservatives split their vote many ways and always lose. It's almost like we need a pre-primary election where we settle on one conservative candidate to go up against the moderate.

The same thing happened here in Michigan for governor. We had 3 or 4 conservatives and one moderate. The moderate won a plurality and then won the general election. Now we have governor Snyder, who is a moderate.

That is why I am strongly in favor of run-off elections in the event that no candidate wins 50% + 1 or more votes.
