Agreed. If Newt can beat Santorum in Arizona, that would give him a pretty solid reason to argue going into Super Tuesday that we're not down to a 2-man race just yet.

PPP Polling said that 14% of GOP voters in AZ were Mormon and that 77% of them were voting for Romney. That's a really tough demographical advantage to overcome.

Does anyone know if the delegates given in Arizona will be proportional? We understood that was to be the case in all primaries before April 1, according to new Republican rules, but the news media keeps saying that Florida will ignore that rule and make it winner-takes-all. Which is correct?

I have heard Arizona is winner take all.

It is winner take all but they (along with FL) are in violation of the RNC rules which stated that all primaries/caucuses before April 1 were to be proportional. This could be challenged at the convention if the delegate count is close. So I guess you could say it is winner take all for now.
