Quote:
Mitt Romney 21

Mike Huckabee 11

Rand Paul 11

Jeb Bush 10

Ben Carson 9

Scott Walker 8

Marco Rubio 5

Chris Christie 4

Ted Cruz 4

Rick Perry 4

Bobby Jindal 2

John Kasich 1

Rick Santorum 1

Lindsey Graham 1

Huckabee tied for 2nd... good place to be in my opinion.

I hope with poll results like this Rick Santorum decides not to run, although he is a good man and all. He has run before but only polls at 1 %.

Huckabee is also very high for 2nd choice. A very good place to be. I am very surprised about Carson's showing. And Paul's too, as he's been quiet thus far.

With Romney out, Huckabee is tied for 1st.

Problem is that Jeb was the 2nd choice of 13% of people....and I believe most of that 13% would have had Romney as their first. We should know in the next Fox poll. I believe the next Fox poll will look something like this:

Bush: 18
Huckabee: 13
Walker:11
Paul: 11
Christie: 8
Carson: 8
everyone else: 31

I think Bush, Christie, and Walker all gain from Romney leaving

Actually, Fox News did its poll also without Romney in the mix, and this was the result:

Bush 15
Huckabee 13
Paul 13
Carson 10
Walker 9
Christie 6
Rubio 5

Polling second or third (or even fourth) is a good place to be, in my opinion. The front runner is usually attacked the most. Huckabee will never be the obvious favorite to win. Remember how McCain came from behind in '08 to win the nomination.

Interesting note: Compare the recent national numbers to the recent Iowa numbers:

Huckabee 14.4
Bush 13.1
Carson 12.8
Walker 9.9
Paul 7.0
Cruz 5.4
Christie 5.4
Rubio 4.2

For most candidates including Huckabee, except maybe for Rand Paul, Iowa and national numbers are similar.
