Not to open too many threads, we can maybe post polls of states that are not early in the primary election process here.

California

http://www.field.com/fieldpollonline/subscribers/Rls2496.pdf

Walker 18
Bush 16
Paul 10
Carson 8
Rubio 7
Huckabee 5
Cruz 5
Perry 4
Christie 3
Jindal 1

Some space for improvement for Huckabee, but - hey - it's California.

I don't know why Fiorina wasn't included in this poll though, since it's her home state.

Somewhat disappointing Huckabee numbers for an important Southern state...

This would be an outlier. Cruz and Perry have the homestate advantage... neither has anywhere close to those numbers in any other state poll. Furthermore, this doesn't reflect the reality that Cruz and Perry haven't really let their intentions be known about whether they are running.

No wonder New York (City) is not Huckabee's favorite.

Another one from North Carolina, from PPP:

Bush 19
Walker 16
Huckabee 11
Cruz 11
Rubio 11
Carson 9
Christie 7
Paul 6
Perry 2

http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/pdf/2015/PPP_Release_NC_41015.pdf

In the head-to-head matchups with Clinton, Huckabee fares best with +5! (next: Walker with +3, Bush -1)

Strong numbers for Walker in his home state. Though Huckabee sweeped his home state with an even higher percentage in '08, if I remember correctly.

Walker 40
Paul 10
Bush 8
Christie 6
Cruz 6
Carson 5
Huckabee 5
Rubio 4
Jindal 2
Santorum 2
Perry 1

Georgia
500 Republican Primary Voters
5/11 - 5/12 2015

Huckabee 18.3
Carson 15.4
Walker 12.6
Bush 10.1
Rubio 9.6
Cruz 9.3
Paul 4.0
Fiorina 2.6
Christie 2.2
Santorum 0.3

Undecided 15.6

If you look at the crosstabs, you might be very pleased to see that Huckabee was the choice of 42.8 of African Americans polled!! But then reading further, and doing a little math, you will see that that only amounts to about 4 people :?
Oh well, it still sounds good!

Great numbers for Huckabee in Georgia, and still room for improvement!

And yes, Georgia is part of the Southern regional primary on March 1, 2016
http://www.nationaljournal.com/2016-elections/georgia-2016-s-new-campaign-battleground-20150512

Quote:
Ten other Republican presidential hopefuls have traveled to Georgia as well this year to meet with the state's top donors, lawmakers and activists. None have visited more often than the winner of the 2008 Georgia Republican primary, Mike Huckabee, who has made four trips to the state in 2015. Jeb Bush and Bobby Jindal have each visited the state twice since January. And Ohio Gov. John Kasich is scheduled to make his inaugural trek to Georgia this month.

New California poll. Huck virtually unchanged, Bush down, Walker down, Rubio up. Fiorina low in her home state.

Respectable Huck-a-numbers for Pennsylvania.

Walker 17
Santorum 12
Christie 12
Carson 12
Huckabee 11
Bush 9
Rubio 9
Cruz 6
Paul 6

Question: If a Republican running for president cannot dominate his home state, what is his rationale for running? (Santorum)
