Found this about Mike Hosting a Candidate Forum on his Show on December 3 while reading an article about how Romney thinks he can,for the most part, ignore our great state .

Quote:
Mitt Romney to skip two big events in Iowa – well, three – but campaigns here next week

While the rest of the GOP field kiss the Iowa governor’s ring and woo evangelicals here, one frontrunner won’t be here.

Mitt Romney hasn’t attended any of the big multi-candidate presidential forums in Iowa this year, aside from one nationally-televised debate.

But campaign aides say the former Massachusetts governor will visit Iowa next week, Reuters reported this afternoon. He will be here Wednesday, Nov. 23, Romney spokeswoman Andrea Saul told The Des Moines Register.

It will be his fifth visit to the Hawkeye State this year.

And Romney will attend a Dec. 3 multi-candidate forum hosted by Mike Huckabee, a former presidential hopeful popular with Iowa evangelicals. The event will be filmed on the set of Huckabee’s Fox News Channel show in New York City.

Saturday, two big Republican political events are happening in the Des Moines area: a six-candidate forum hosted by Bob Vander Plaats’ conservative Christian group the Family Leader at 4 p.m., and Gov. Terry Branstad’s 65th birthday bash at 7 p.m.

Branstad has yet to bestow his coveted endorsement for the 2012 GOP race.

Saturday is also the night Iowa Democratic Party officials are throwing their landmark fundraiser, the Jefferson Jackson dinner, with keynote speaker Rahm Emanuel, a former chief of staff to President Barack Obama and current Chicago mayor. That starts at 7 p.m.

The six candidates who have RSVP’ed for the Family Leader forum are Ron Paul, Newt Gingrich, Rick Perry, Rick Santorum, Michele Bachmann, and Herman Cain.

Romney, who claimed the No. 2 spot in the October Iowa Poll, has skipped other multi-candidate forums, including those hosted by the Iowa Faith & Freedom Coalition and the National Association of Manufacturers.

A slew of national political reporters have already begun to arrive in Iowa to cover the week’s news here. Three candidates are in the state today: Gingrich, Perry and Bachmann.

Well, this is good news as we know Huckabee will not ignore candidates and turn it into a Romney-fest like all the other debates. Huckabee has been that guy on the end of the stage.

This is scheduled in December....time is clearly running out for Gov. Huckabee to get into the race. Signs are not looking good.

On the other hand, he might decide after an in-person inspection of the prospects and sees a number of the candidates either give inadequate answers to fiscal issues or very poor answers on social issues, that he might need to give it one last prayer.
