I just wanted to post a few thoughts on the new forum areas. I love it. I think it will be much easier to find similar topics the way it is now. I especially like the issues areas and the Hucks Army projects. It's a good idea. There are some topics that should be moved though. If given permission, I would be glad to help move the topics that are out of place.

we are discussing a few forums so there may be some overlap here... let us know your ideas and we'll see what makes sense

I think the "view active topics" text should be in red, or a larger font. Something to communicate that it is something that should be clicked on. I know I was glad once I discovered it, as it made using the forum easier.

I have been tied up on a professional deal -- but I just wanted to say - I LOVE the new forum. Thanks to all those involved for the hard work and effort and great result.

Good idea. I always wondered if there was a way to have pop-up tips pointing out some of the features or giving mini tutorials.

Not sure how I discovered them, but I mostly use "view new posts" and sometimes "view active topics"--and I have to agree with you, they do make using the forum easier.

Joshua - Feel free to point out what need to be moved.

Jack & Christopher - I also almost exclusively use "View new posts." Unfortunately this link is a function of the PHPBB code and we don't have control over its presentation. :?

Ok, I finally got around to this request... any feedback? Does this help? Is the color good? too strong? size good? smaller? bigger?

This was very helpful, Ken. I immediately saw the change when I logged in. It would have helped me when I first visited HA to see the red letters. Size good, color, etc. fine.

I see no need to change the new change. 8) I like it much better. :)

I don't check in everyday, like I used to, but when I got here, the RED kinda made me wonder if I'd come to the right place! haha And I just noticed the smilies are face-shaped! (didn't realize what it was at first...oh   )

I think it's a good idea to make the "view active topics" bolder or more noticeable. Just wondering if a slightly muted red would blend better with the page. Maybe like this? :D

I love the new red "View active topics". I also saved myself tons of time after someone pointed it out to me and now use it almost exclusively. I also love the new smilies, especially the tantrum one!

Thank you sooooo much to those of you who work so hard to make this forum great. We really do appreciate all of your talents and efforts and time spent! :D

I like the changes, too. Now, y'all are going to get sick of me asking this, but can we get the "Top" button working at the lower left corner of each post? That would save lots of time scrolling back to the top to hit the beautiful new View Active Topics button. :D

let me know if the Top button isn't working now for you, but it works for me now after I made a change

Ken, I thought it was a fluke, but now it's happened several times. Whenever I post, I get the screen that says something like, "Your post was successful," but then, instead of taking me automatically back to the topic where I had posted, I get an error - 400 bad request, I think (wasn't paying enough attention). My post has worked though. This is new for me; is anyone else experiencing it?

Bump!
Just in case you missed this particular forum improvement, the Top button (found in the lower left corner of each and every post) now works! Thanks again, Ken - I love not having to scroll to the top to hit the View Active Topics button. "Top" is my new favorite button on the internet. :cheer
