VENTURA COUNTY STAR: Sold-out crowd welcomes Huckabee at Reagan Library http://www.venturacountystar.com/news/2 ... at-reagan/

Quote:
“If he would’ve been elected president, we wouldn’t be in the mess we’re in,” Grant Gerson said.

“(Huckabee) is the man. He’s truthful, honest, and tells it like it is. I like that,” said Donna Arp, 79, of Simi Valley.

Inside the Presidential Learning Center, Huckabee, 53, an Arkansas native, spoke in front of a sold-out crowd of almost a thousand guests, which included former first lady Nancy Reagan.

David, were you there yesterday? I was. It was the first time I had the opportunity to see him other than a momentary glimpse.

I'm going tonight also with my wife. I'm really excited to see Huckabee for the first time. We will be taking lots of pictures and I'll try to share some here on HucksArmy!

Thanks David. I'm glad I got to officially meet you also. After reading all your posts here on HucksArmy for the past year, I felt like I already knew you. I had a great time and attached some pictures. My wife also took some video, but we too haven't quite uploaded them yet.

Sorry, but I had to include one of my favorite Huckabee moments from the last election.

I loved that answer that Huckabee gave about Reagan and endorsements.

I wonder who Nancy Reagan really wanted to endorse for 2008. I don't think it was McCain-although I think they were friends from way back. I doubt it was Romney-although she might have liked Romney's hair as Reagan had good hair too. But Huckabee really gave good thoughtful answers in that debate-even if he had to fight to get a question.
