This sounds great! I just wish Huck was IN it, not HOSTING it...

From Mike's FB page:
Quote:
This Saturday from 8-10pm ET, my show will have a 2 hour special featuring the GOP Presidential candidates---all of whom are going to be posed questions not by media "stars" but by GOP Attorneys General Scott Pruitt of Oklahoma, Pam Bondi of Florida, and Ken Cuccinelli of Virginia; I will moderate. The candidates all get the exact same amount of time; the order in which they answer questions is d...etermined by a random drawing and not by arbitrary decisions of "king maker" moderators.

The candidates will appear singularly on stage and are not allowed to discuss or attack other candidates, but must stick to questions which will focus on the federal/state relations of immigration, education, jobs, Obamacare, etc. It will be a very unique format and substantive---no "gotcha" stuff. I encourage you to tune in and please let your friends and family know about the debate as well.

So sad that Governor Huckabee is on the wrong side of these debates....

Has anyone found a decent internet stream? The few I've tried are so bad that I'm going to give up & wait for HANN coverage & youtube clips if something better doesn't crop up. :(

(This one has come the closest to being watchable - maybe someone with a better computer might have more luck? http://www.freetv-watch.com/usa/fox-news.html)

Wow, been a LONG time since I wuz here.
I can't believe FOX News can't run a decent stream!
Oh well, Huck will probably post it and I do my exercises to Hucks show uploads so I'll see it in a few days.

I tuned in briefly. I don't care for that FL AG Pam Bondi much.

I've only got to watch the last 15 minutes but have received more pertinent info than any of the other forums/debates in their entirety.
Mike is great. He is truly in his element.
He is making a name for himself and will go down as a great positive influence in the broadcast industry.

Hey, eworthi! It's great to see you back here! Glad to read that you are still a fellow Huckaholic!

The stream I posted is skipping badly - evidently Fox started charging money for the stream or something a year or so back, so now the only ones you can get you either have to pay for or pick up pirated streams that are really crappy. The one I posted keeps skipping constantly so just as a candidate is about to give an answer that I really want to hear, it skips and the next question is being asked. (We need an emoticon pulling its hair out! )

I totally agree - this is what the debates SHOULD be! I hope it's getting HUGE viewership!

Anyone have impressions of Cuccinelli yet? I have presidential aspirations for him some day

I feel like each of these AGs has Ron Paul's view of the Constitution, which is really out of step with constitutional law. Some more balance would have been better.

I don't know, from what I saw, he was the only one kind of pushing back against the AGs' apparent view of things, e.g. when he said he wouldn't want to get rid of all federal labor law.

This was a great format! It was a little depressing though. The candidates I agree with the most performed the most poorly.

What little I could catch, I have to admit that Romney sounded decent.

What was it that the AG's were saying or asking that bothered you?

I thought Santorum did a poor job. He wasn't clear or concise. He rambled when he answered the questions and half the time my daughter and I couldn't even figure out what his actual answer was. I think focusing his closing remarks on the social issues was a strategic mistake. Everyone already knows he won't back down on that. We want to know what else he stands for. I was very impressed by Perry's performance. If I was an uninformed voter this might have won me over. Bachmann did a good job too. My daughter thought someone had her doing yoga or something because she was so calm and collected, lol! She thought that her performance tonight was a big contrast from what we've seen from her previously. I missed part of Gingrich as I didn't get dinner done quite on time so I don't feel I can judge his performance fairly. Romney (as usual) was smooth as silk and full of bologna. Paul was rambling as usual. Apparently giving him equal time doesn't help.

Bummer. What little I caught of Santorum sounded good, but again, the feed is so disjointed (plus I was trying to get the kids dinner at the same time myself) that it's really difficult to say.

I did think that Bachmann seemed unnaturally sedate, & even though I'm not a lawyer, it sounded like she wasn't as confident in defending some of her ideas as she might have wanted - and needed - to be.

It was interesting listening to the after-the-show perspectives on the Judge's show with Huck and the AG's. The AG's perspectives are so different from the average voter's that I think it might be better to add some other questioners to the mix next time. They were looking for - and hearing - things that most of us probably weren't.

Honestly, it's hard to say. I like what I know of him, but he was so reserved that I was wondering if he is always like that or nervous or what.

I thought AG Scott Pruitt of OK came across well, but the AG from FL (missed her name) sounded kind of stilted the way she spoke, & kept deferring to Pruitt everytime the Judge asked a question in the aftershow discussion which did little to impress one with her.
