FWIW, I caught part of the show and Mike was wearing a purple tie.

I found an online stream to watch. Mixed feelings - an enjoyable show. Would have been a great springboard to an announcement. But not even a hint. I was hoping Reggie Brown would don a Huckabee costume at the end of his skit instead of the king costume! I think Huck just likes purple ties. :(

Perhaps someone in the makeup dept. at Fox convinced him purple was his ideal tie color or something along those lines.

He's wearing two different ties in the show. If you go back and look at the Lou Dobbs appearance from last night you'll see that it's the same tie. It's probably the same suit. I think the segments with the purpleish tie were filmed last night and the segments with the yellow tie were filmed at a different time.

That opening monologue sure sounded like a platform for getting into the race. Gave reasons to think about other candidate-then why Huckabee has the answer. Press conference would be about ideas not being presented, not bashing of other candidates. But emphasizing how he is the best one for each of those ideas.

THe segment with the yellow tie was filmed last weekend.

THe Toby Keith segment was filmed yesterday and the other segments were filmed today.

Anyone know if there was any particular reason Randy Davis sent that email with this message in it on the 29th, "Heads up....You may want to tune in Saturday night and Sunday night at 7 pm Central (8 pm Eastern) for "Huckabee" on the Fox News Channel. The Governor always has an interesting and informative show."

It was as if he were campaigning, explaining to the Elites that this is what you will get with me and why, and/or eat your heart out because this is what you missed by not getting behind me. I have connections, can get to the bottom of issues, find innovative problem solvers, promote patriotism, stay vertical and kind but fiercely confront the issues by debating policy and not personhood.

If he were campaigning, setting the stage for a run, it was Oh so subtle. I AM eating my heart out because the announcement didn't come and looks like it may not be coming forewith. And yet there is a glimmer of hope with the purple tie, with the opening monologue that sounded like a halfhearted but sincere and humble sales pitch for a run at the White House.

Fishing analogy. Using his show to throw out a bait to see if he got any bites and if so, okay this is what you will get from me, and if not, okay, I will keep enjoying playing bass with the likes of Toby Keith and informing the American people that there is hope for America if we would be the somebodies and do the somethings.

After listening to this opening monalogue from Huck, this is like a dagger in the heart. He is so talented and gifted. He has what it takes and is not willing to take a shot. Such a bummer for the country.

It was a good show, as always, and I will enjoy the Governor making use of this platform in the future to advance conservative causes.

I, for one, have come to peace with Huck's decision not to run, which it has become clear will be what happens. It is easy to gauge his decision on the measurable things and that's why I think at times he has pointed to things like "a clear path to the nomination" or enough "water to swim in the pool (money)." I think the real answer, his answer, is far deeper and more complex than that. One of the many good things about Huck, and there are many, is his honesty. It makes him a weaker politician (irony) but a better person. I believed Huck when he pointed to God as his guidance in the important decisions that he makes, and I still believe him. That relationship is the real reason, and as complex as relationships can be, it makes it hard to understand. But having that relationship myself, I certainly can understand!

Keep up the good work with the platforms you have Gov!
