Dear Republican Friends,

It is very encouraging to see stalwart conservative leaders like Ann Clemmer make the necessary sacrifices to run for public office. Few in our state are better qualified and more experienced than Ann. I’ve personally known her since 1991, and have admired her tenacity to stand unflinchingly for what’s right even though she has often been a “voice in the wilderness” whether in the academic circles of a university campus or under the hot lights of a TV studio when she was the only conservative on a panel discussing issues. She’s been a grass-roots leader at the local and state level,
and has been a voice of steady reason in the most tumultuous times.

As one who served for over 10 ½ years as Governor and worked with the legislature, I know what it takes to be an effective legislator, and Ann has all those gifts and abilities. She will not only be a strong leader for her district, but a strong leader for Arkansas. She understands the process as few do, but is led by principles and not the “politics of the day.”I hope that Ann will be elected to the legislature with your strong support and generous contributions. She will be a legislative leader!

With best wishes,

Mike Huckabee
Governor of Arkansas (1996-2007)

(Poster's Note - Ms. Clemmer will do a great job representing the people of District 29 and is the best choice. She also has a young impressive (but less experienced) opponent named Brett Hooten. Mr. Hooten is an energetic pro-life conservative who I predict will have a bright future in Arkansas politics. Look for his name in years to come.)
