I posted the last price I saw, which was $2.95 a day or so ago...

but I drove by the same gas station, and the price is now $2.85.

Is this happening where you live, that the price goes down .02 or .04 cents, almost every day? It's been doing this for at least the last few weeks here.

We're just west of Houston, TX & we've been seeing $2.49 though DH just told me that the station down the street upped it to $2.91 just after the OPEC announcement about raising gas prices.

Don't know about y'all, but here, whenever something happens to threaten gas (hurricanes, OPEC talks, etc), the price immediately jumps up - but when good news comes, it takes days if not weeks before we see it come back down.

Not only low gasoline prices, but you also have the most awesomeChristmas store in the whole world, started in Frankenmuth by a now 80+ year old sign-painter and his wife many years ago. It is now, what, several football fields (?) in size, with every imaginable tree, ornament, outdoor scene available, and lots of REAL Christmas items.

Last year we spent Christmas in Michigan with our daughter and family. Another highlight was the Village Nights in the Ford Motor Company's Dearborn, MI village restoration. We rode the Model T around, rode on the carousel, shopped, toured the Henry Ford's farmhouse, etc and then sang the Halleluiah Chorus with carolers on the Towne Square. With fireworks in the background! One of our most inspiring Christmases.

Now with gasoline prices falling, maybe all of us at HA can come for Christmas and help the Michigan economy.

Everyone, see you in Michigan before Christmas! Bring your handwarmers.
