Griffith leads Boucher by 9 with 37% reporting in VA-9. This would be an upset.

Well, it looks like an upset! That margin still holds at nearly 67% reporting.

All in all, we'll have 2 or possibly 3 democrat reps, out of 11 total districts. Sweet! Sure would have liked to see Bobby Scott toppled. IIRC, he's been in office absolutely forever.

With 99.6 % precincts reporting, looks like House picks up another seat with Robert Hurt (R) defeating Tom Perriello (D) by around 9,000 votes.

Also all Ballot Referendums passed with 93% of that vote in:

Of course, the Governor, Lt. Gov., and our famous atty general Ken Cuccinelli all ran (and won) last year.

I hope conservative businessman Keith Fimian can defeat incumbent Democrat Gerry Connolly in VA-11. The district includes Fairfax County, which is extremely liberal (including parts of Arlington and Falls Church, which are ardently "progressive").

The latest returns on Fox News as of 1:14 AM (Eastern time)

Connolly (D) 110,000
Fimian (R) 109,000

....with 99% of precincts reporting. This one might go to the Absentee ballots. We have a LOT of military in this district since it is so close to our nation's capital and the Pentagon.

I think it's amazing that Fimian has gotten as close as he has in this district. I haven't looked this morning (my internet bugged out last night), but I'm praying for the absentee ballots.

As of 7:00 PM on Wednesday, the race between Fimian v. Connolly was still too close to call. The last thing I heard on the radio was that when they had 100% of precincts reporting, they were 900 votes apart. But hopefully the absentee ballots will turn that around.

You are right, it is amazing that Fimian got this far in such a liberal district.
