Something else I love about Mike Huckabee? The fact that he is trying to save up enough money from his high-paying job on Fox so that he can support himself, just like he did back in 2008. In that election, then-Senator Obama, Senator McCain, then-Senator Biden and then-Govenor Palin continued to receive their full-time salaries for jobs that they were no longer doing because they were campaigning full time. I always thought that was so hypocritical. And, undoubtedly, of the 2012 crop, some of the candidates will be people who have full-time jobs in politics who will continue to draw their salaries while asking the voters to give them an even better full-time job. I don't know about you, but, my employer doesn't pay me to interview for a better gig.

But, Huck, true to his classy nature, left the Governorship of Arkansas in January, 2007. And then, later that month, after fulfilling his committment to the public, he then started running for President. He was criticized for doing speaking gigs during the campaign trail, but he needed to, because, unlike many others, he was paying for his own living expenses.

More power to you, Governor, and please do run but please save up as many of those big Fox paychecks until you do. Again, you set a great example for what more politicians should be doing and how they should conduct themselves.

I also guarantee that Huck is classy enough that no one would have to tell him that he needed to leave his show when he decided to run. He would never need to be "suspended" - he is truly the adult in a crowd that often acts like children.

Thank you, TVV, for those kind (and true) words for Huckabee. We want the best for him, and what would be nice would be to be treated more fairly. But, as you say, Huck is classy and is truly an adult in a crowd that often acts like children.

May 3rd is the final day to form an exploratory committee to be included in the first GOP debate in South Carolina on May 5th. I read both of the articles from the links posted on another thread this morning. http://forum.hucksarmy.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=25103

The second story was very interesting.

Would Mike have to form an exploratory committee? Wouldn't results from the polls suffice? Or would it be necessary to ascertain possible funding from donors? I would think all this time he would have a pretty good idea of where, and how much, his support would come from. I am sure he has had many conversations with many important people (especially the LORD).
