The Governor is playing chess....

Huckabee Unveils Impressive Iowa Team

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- Former Arkansas Governor and 2016 GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee recently announced  his comprehensive Iowa and S.C. ‘Team Huck’ grassroots leadership organization, including members of the Des Moines Register’s “50 Most Wanted Republicans” and The Iowa Republican’s “Playmakers.”

“We’ve built a comprehensive leadership organization and grassroots infrastructure, which is a powerful network of activists, local leaders, homeschoolers, pastors, veterans and ordinary American patriots that will power ‘Team Huck’ through the key early states of Iowa and South Carolina,” said Gov. Huckabee.

Gov. Huckabee launched his campaign just over three months ago, and now has 71 County Chairs in Iowa. In 2008, Gov. Huckabee won the Iowa caucuses with more votes than any other Republican in Iowa caucus history after being outspent 10-1 by Gov. Mitt Romney. In South Carolina, where Huckabee finished a close second to John McCain in 2008, Gov. Huckabee has 32 county organizations, including 24 county chairs. The following are the details of his Iowa leadership team:

I wish they had included how his infrastructure compares to other candidates' campaigns.

More good news on the IOWA front:

Mike Huckabee lands Aaron Trost as Iowa director

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee will announce Thursday that Aaron Trost, who managed the insurgent campaign of Sen. Deb Fischer (R-Neb.), will be his Iowa state director.

Trost comes to Iowa after making his name in neighboring Nebraska, where he engineered a come-from-behind primary victory for Fischer in 2012, then managed her general-election victory over former Sen. Bob Kerrey.
