Remember that this is a moving average so he probably had an 11% last night to get to 10% today...that is good. Also, we need to KINDLY Rasmussen and let them know that we would like them to display Huckabee's daily numbers because:
1) He has been rising
2) He is in double digits now
3) We are intersted in the election and want to see where the candidates are trending
4) Show that you are intersted in the election but not a crazy Huckabee supporter.

This is a great idea!! This would be a great "sticky" thread.

Also, a great idea to contact Rasmussen and ask for them to add Huck to the daily list.

Good goin! :D

Here is how to contact Rasmussen. I would suggest putting this in the top post in this thread, so people can find it better. People contacting them should not come across as ravid Huckabee supporters, just normal people interested in politics that want to see Huckabee included in the day to day polls.

BPassmore, That is a great graph. How does one paste to a blog this picture? Never did learn that . I would like to share this graph. I could link to t too. Can you keep this ukpdated too and will this be an at the top thread for viewing as it is updated? Lock it up to only the update posters.

I see that Romney is taking quite a dive. He spent all that money and now everyone knows him and don't like him?

I see Thompson and Huckabee are on the same claim path. Interesting. Here I thought it was going to be between Huckabbe and Romney. You think Thompson's health will hold?

I know it was 8% for a little while, but before that I haven't really been paying attention. Hopefully Rasmussen will put it up eventually, now that he's double digits, or they might wait until he passes someone which won't be long now with all the endorsements and attention he's getting :D

News today - Mike Huckabee is now at 10%, has passed Romney.

Quote:
Given Huckabee’s progress in the polls, Rasmussen Reports will add his results to the daily tracking history table starting on Monday.

When people get to know the real Giuliani they won't be interested. All the establishment republicans in DC might like him, but when it comes to the regular folk he will be a turn off.

People like him only because of 9/11. As more of the candidates talk about foreign policy and stand strong against terrorism, people will start wondering why they should put all the stakes on Giuliani.

I think it will be a contest between Romney and Huckabee at the end.

Giuliani apppears to be nose-diving...why is that?

I think he is generally pulling support from the same pool of voters as McCain. If you look at their numbers, they are more or less mirror images of each other...when Giuliani's numbers rise, McCain's usually drop simultaneously, and vice-versa. I suspect that will probably continue, and after the first couple of primaries there will be two main contenders, the Giuliani/McCain "winner" and the Huckabee/Romney/Thompson winner. Right now it's apparent that Gov. Huckabee has the most momentum of all the front-runners, so we need to work to keep it that way!

It's interesting that it seems like all five candidates' poll numbers are converging toward the same number...

It is very important that we win Iowa because that will deal Romney a strong blow that i think will cripple him greatly and allow us to emerge from our 3 pack.

I liked the McCain/Rudy and the Thompson/Huckabee/Romney analysis...i had a similar thought recently...

Oh and for the average...i believe it is averaging on a 4 day rollling averge so considering Mike jumped from 9 to 10 to 10 to 12%...he probably had a number of 13 or 14% in last night's polling to bring him up 2 full points.

Past Romney! WooHoo!
kentuckabee4huckabee,
You are absolutely right about Giuliani/McCain. There graphs are almost mirror images of eachother. One goes up, the other goes down. I wish we could have a graph showing the similar coorelation with Undecideds and Huckabee. At least in the Iowa polls, as the undecideds go down, Huckabee goes up. They are choosing him guys!

I'd also like to see a chart comparing Gov. Huckabee's poll numbers with John Kerry's poll numbers from the 2004 primary campaign, since I've heard that Kerry had numbers similar to Huckabee's at the same point during that primary cycle. Of course, this primary schedule is much more front-loaded than 2004's, but I still think that would really drive home the point that Gov. Huckabee can really win the nomination. Of course, we all know that already... :D

Let me add that such a Kerry/Huckabee chart would be the only time I'd ever want to see those two names together! :P

Is there a way to show the tracker on my blog page? It would be neat to have it updating as the campaign progresses.
