In case anyone would be interested in registering their preferences (unfortunately Huckabee is not on their list and there is no way to add anybody):

I thought Huck's perspective on a brokered convention was interesting

Clearly he has heard about these fantasies & does not see it as a likely solution to the GOP's problems.

Well they put out Mitch Daniels again this morning on the Sunday shows. So somebody may still be thinking about the impossible possibilities. It seems he is being cast in the "understudy" role. We could sure do worse. Wait...we are doing worse.

Can someone post our own "brokered convention" poll? Clearly we'd all vote Huck, so lets say who would your 2nd choice be and give the current 4 candidates as well as Bush, Demint, Rubio, Daniels, Christie, Ryan, Jindal, Palin, etc.

Judging by comments & commentary in various places around the net, I believe that conservatives are waking up to the fact that Christie is way more moderate than most are willing to embrace as POTUS. His popularity stems from his entertainingly pugnacious style, moreso than his politics (rather like another controversial politician currently in the public eye). I no longer view him as a serious threat in 2016 - if it comes to that.

I do think such a poll would need to also include VA's McDonnell, OH's Kasich, and WI's Walker - but I don't think we have enough regularly posting members to come up with a consensus under such a wide array of possibilities.

[Just saw poll thread - viewtopic.php?f=181&t=26393 I'll move this there.]
